Composition News:

Stop It! For Contrabass and Violoncello premiered in Indianapolis and Chicago by Bassist David Murray. Commissioned for Mr. Murray by the Chicago Composers Consortium.

A new Violin Concerto and a Chamber Symphony for Three Female Voices and Dark Orchestra are now in progress -- soloists to be announced

Kertsman's Concerto for Flute, Strings and Percussion premiered in November 2005 at the Konzerthaus, Vienna by Marina Piccinini and the Vienna Classical Players (of the Vienna Symphony). Commissioned by the Austrian Flute Society and Ms. Piccinini -- Chair of the Flute Department at Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Conservatory.

Miguel Kertsman's "Amazon, Symphonic Poem" performed at the Brucknerhaus, Linz Austria in June 2005 by conductor Dennis Russell Davies and the Bruckner Orchester Linz. ORF 1 Radio Broadcast and live interview.

New Compositions for the Opera Viva Company performed in Vienna's Herbert von Karajan Center, Zurich Opera, Beethovenhaus Bonn, and Luxembourg's Philharmonie
